I prefer my antique stores to be a little less arranged, and a little more dirty. I love being on my hands and knees, dragging dirty boxes out from under dirty shelves and finding something I can't live without. Oh, and Yvonne...Thank you for always being able to tell the difference between a goose, a duck and a swan. I've seen too any thrift flippers oohing and aahing over their "black swan with white accents" only for it to be a Canada goose!

If you cut a square or rectangle a bit larger than the heart, you can cut a scrap of wood to fill the space. Use a Kreg jig or toenail nail or stew your patch in. Use a bit of wood filler in any gaps and Kilz to hide the transition.

Such a cute make over. here's a tip, Anything resin will eventually break down from freezing weather. They will last alot longer if you bring them in in the fall, Storing in garage or shed.

A mould could go over the heart, too. I have filled the heart, then put a mould there.

I saw a whole shallow basket of butter pats at a barn sale. Each had a different pattern on them, round, $8 each. I remembered what you said about resale price but I wasn't sure if that higher price applied to only the plain white ironstone butter pats so I didn't buy any.

Oh my gosh! That little green plastic chair is just like one we used for my little sister years ago. It was before car seats and we used it in the car. We put the lap belt through the arm holes. 😅

Absolutely fabulous shopping trip! I passed a lamb mould at the yard sale same as what you found! I knew I should grab it, but didn’t tug my heart! I did look for it today at 1/2 off day, but it was gone 😅! Scored a wood box for all my mashers and paddles, you are a HUGE inspiration!!!!

I need guidance...once again. I purchased a stand alone jewelry box caninet. Its that dark colored wood ( i think the cheap kind?...like a cherry? Idk) anywAy should i spray it with the ( reddish primer from Rustoleuem) to keep it from having bleed- through? Ive seen you do that before? Id like to paint it off white...help please!?

Stunning pieces, but actually I love the crackled one the most.

We had that heart bench when my kids were little. It sat on the front porch and if they wanted to chew gum, they had to go sit on that little bench to chew it. I can still see them sitting there in their little coats and hats in the winter (Tennessee) chewing that gum.
